For this assignment, I chose an image of a green world in the palm of someones hands. This is pretty self explanatory. The world is in the palm of your hands and you should treat it with respect.

For this project, I chose Jazz musician Louis Armstrong. I was not very familiar with any artists for the music categories listed, although I realized that this man sings a song that I know and happen to really enjoy. The song is called What A Wonderful World. I wanted to do more dull colors for this because when I looked up pictures of Armstrong, a majority of them were in black and white.

M03 CP - Awareness Poster Part 2 : Smoking Awareness

 

 

 

For my awareness poster, I chose a very common issue in society, smoking. However, I didn't focus on the health aspect of the matter, I focused on the financial part of this. I researched different topics to see what is something I feel strongly about. I realized that since I work at a drugstore, I constantly see repeat customers in a few times a week just for cigarettes. I wonder how much money they are constantly throwing away to this deadly addiction. Anyway, I took a few photos of dollar bills with a flame, and garbage can. This is showing that people who smoke are practically throwing away their money, right into the garbage. Is it really worth it when you think of all the affects it has on your health and lifestyle?

I finally finished my final project ! I had a few ideas that are shown in my sketches and I used those to come up with the final product !  As you can see, the DJ is at a spring break party on the beach playing music, typical MTV scene.

Sketch two for Band Promo (Ideas)

These are more of my ideas for the photo-montage. I came up with these sketches, thinking about the setup for a nice band promo picture. I decided to go in another direction and make the artist a DJ. I added headphones, a DJ booth, and of course, strobe lights. I was picturing this at a beach around sunset.

Sketch One for Band Promo (Ideas)

This is the first page of my sketches that I am working on for this photo-montage project. I know it may seem a bit strange but it is just some ideas that I came up with in my head, like objects that I would like to incorporate somehow. The band's name is Glitter. I like the idea of spray paint or glitter being sprayed through a CD disc, maybe. Also, have the bands name spelled out and at the end have it turn into the microphone cord. The band is going to be performing on a beach, reason for the palm tree.

I will be using this for my Digital Art & Design class.  I am new to blogging so hopefully I will figure it out!
